[JEJU, SOUTH KOREA] Jeju, South Korea's Natural Wonder: Seongsan Ilchulbong

Travelling by oneself via plane for about 3 to 4 hours from the Philippines to visit Jeju Island was probably the best experience. Since watching the beautiful scenery through television, visiting and seeing it in person certainly has a different feeling.

Jeju Island is a small island that can be found in South Korea. According to google it has an area of 2,000 km squared and has a population of six hundred thousand which is a lot. Being one of the few people to be given an opportunity to see Jeju and tour its island, makes me happy about it.

Upon arriving the first thing to notice is the difference of temperature, it was too cold but amusing. My first impression of Jeju Island was shocking! Of course, it was my first time visiting a different country without my family. Now I know the feeling of being culturally shocked! Everything was different compared to my home (Philippines).

Among of the places we need to visit was Seongsan Ilchulbong and climbing to its peak and do some Mandarin picking. The trek to Seongsan Ilchulbong's peak was fun but a little tiring, because it has a steep pathway. The best time to go there was during sunrise, true to its name.

This is one of the best spots in Jeju from its own wonderful natural view created by nature. Highly recommend visiting the Seongsan Ilchulbong for you to start exploring the wonderful place in Korea and you’ll never be disappointed.
