Is Pagsanjan Falls Worth To Visit?

The Canoe or called known as Banca

If you love thrilling nature adventures, I highly recommend visiting Pagsanjan Falls this summer!

Cavinti Falls or the known as Pagsanjan Falls is a 90-meter-high water fall with a secret cave called the Devil’s Cave.  Famous for its exciting “Shooting the Rapids” experience, this adventure features a thrilling two-hour boat ride surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery.  The place is absolutely beautiful, with the powerful sound of the gushing waterfall cascading into the wide basin, creating a breathtaking and unforgettable experience.

Famous not just for the falls, but for the journey going there, the full river adventure getting there.

Bangkero's

The canoe ride at Pagsanjan Falls begins the moment you step into a long, narrow wooden banca and settle low to the floor while two skilled boatmen position themselves at the front and back. At first, the river feels calm and almost peaceful as you glide away from the station, but within minutes, the surroundings begin to change.

Clean River Water

Without any motor, the boatmen expertly guide the canoe using long bamboo poles, pushing against rocks, balancing the boat. Then comes the real thrill, the rapids. The canoe suddenly dips, bumps, and surges forward as white water splashes around you, soaking your clothes and filling the air with excitement and laughter.

Even though it’s thrilling, It’s also enjoyable because, The boatmen or “Bangkero” are extremely skilled and experienced.  They know every rock and current pattern they often joke, sing, or guide tourists with humor.  After the thrilling canoe ride through the rapids, the experience doesn’t stop.

Bamboo Rafting

At this point, you transfer from the canoe onto a long bamboo raft, carefully assembled by the boatmen, and suddenly the atmosphere changes, the river noise deepens, the mist grows thicker, and the air feels cooler and more powerful. Sitting on the bamboo raft, you are slowly pushed closer toward the roaring curtain of water, and every movement feels surreal as the waterfall grows larger right in front of you.

Photo-taking below the waterfalls.

Stop over in the middle of the forest river

By the time you return to the jump-off point, you’re wet, tired, and smiling, carrying not just photos, but the memory of an adventure that felt like stepping into nature’s own roller coaster, wild, unforgettable, and truly one of a kind.

Is Pagsanjan Falls worth it? Yes, it definitely is!
