[TRAVEL ADVISORY] Bureau of Immigration, Philippines: Updated Travel Restriction Guidelines for travellers with Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 B117 Strain (as of Jan 17)


[UPDATE AS OF JANUARY 17, 2021]

 

Updated Travel Restriction Guidelines of all travelers from Countries with Confirmed Cases of Covid-19 B117 Strain

 

Consistent with the Memorandum from the Executive Secretary dated December 31, 2020 regarding the Additional Measures to be Observed Relative to the SARS-COV-2 (B117) variant detected in the United Kingdom, please be guided of the following revised guidelines, to wit.

 

Those coming from or who have been to the following 35 travel-restricted countries (i.e. with the immigration admission to said countries and not mere lay-over at the airport) EXCEPT for Filipinos, within 14 days immediately preceding arrival shall NOT be allowed entry until January 31, 2021:


1. United Kingdom of Great Britain

2. Denmark

3. Ireland

4. Japan

5. Australia

6. Israel

7. Netherlands

8. Hong Kong, SAR

9. Switzerland

10. France

11. Germany

12. Iceland

13. Italy

14. Lebanon

15. Singapore

16. Sweden

17. South Korea

18. South Africa

19. Canada

20. Spain

21. United States of America

22. Portugal

23. India

24. Finland

25. Norway

26. Jordan 

27. Brazil

28. Austria

29. Pakistan

30. Jamaica

31. Luxembourg

32. Oman

33. People's Republic of China

34. United Arab Emirates

35. Hungary 


The above probation to enter the Philippines shall apply to ALL foreigners regardless of visa category (including 9E visa) or previously issued endorsement or exemption from the Department of Foreign Affairs/ privileges (under RA6768 – Balikbayan) during the duration of the travel restriction.

 

Those who: (a) who transited or mere lay-over at the airport of the 21 travel-restricted countries (lay-over at the airport with no immigration admission at said countries); and (b) those not coming from these countries may be allowed entry, PROVIDED they are authorized to enter the country thru relevant resolutions of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) and subjected to the RT-PCR test, quarantine and isolation protocols issued by the Department of Health.

 

Existing guidelines for arriving crew member/s shall still be observed.
