To provide peace of mind on the client's booking decision, Genting Cruise Lines offers ‘Cruise As You Wish’ with a flexible booking option. With this, all new and existing guests who have booked cruises departing on or before 30 October 2020 on Genting Dream, and 12 June 2020 on SuperStar Gemini will have the flexibility to cancel their cruise up to 48-Hour before departure and receive 100% future cruise credit to be redeemed on any Dream Cruises or Star Cruises sailing embarking on or before 31 March 2021.

Q: What is the Cruise As You Wish policy?
A: Effective 18 March 2020, the newly-implemented Cruise As You Wish policy allows guests to enjoy the flexibility to cancel their cruise bookings up to 48 hours prior to sailing and receive 100% Future Cruise Credit, redeemable for any Dream Cruises or Star Cruises sailing on or before 31 March 2021.

Q: Do all sailings qualify for Cruise As You Wish?
A: Cruises through 30 October 2020 are automatically enrolled in this policy.

Q: How long will I have to redeem my Future Cruise Credit?
A: All Cruise As You Wish Future Cruise Credit must be redeemed on sailings departing on or before 31 March 2021.

Q: How is the value of the Future Cruise Credit determined?
A: The Future Cruise Credit will be reflective of the amount paid for cabin fare, port charges & gratuity (if any).

Q: If guests are not interested in a Future Cruise Credit and simply wish to cancel for a refund, what are the options?
A: The Standard GCL Cancellation Policy apply for those guests not interested in taking advantage of the Cruise As You Wish policy.

Q: How do I cancel or move my cruise?
A: Guests who make their bookings through travel agents may contact them directly to assist with cruise cancellation or/and amendment. Guests who make their bookings directly with Genting Cruise Lines sales offices may contact our customer service team at reservations.en@gentingcruiselines.com. Please note to provide minimally 48-hour notice prior to sailing.

Q: What happens if there’s a difference in cruise fare between the Future Cruise Credit I receive, and the cruise that I would like to book next?
A: The new (future) booking redeemed using Future Cruise Credit is based on the Prevailing rates/promotions available at the time of booking.
Guests are required to pay any cruise fare difference applicable. Should the new cruise fare is lower than the Future Cruise Credit held, another set of Future Cruise Credit will be issued.

Q: Upon cancellation, will I get a refund for any pre-purchased packages, such as beverage packages, shore excursions, etc.?
A: Yes, all pre-purchased packages will be refunded to the original form of payment.

Q: What precautions are you taking to prevent coronavirus while onboard?
A: We would like to assure our guests that we maintain the highest preventative hygiene and sanitation standards on board our ships and is committed to safeguarding the health of all guests and crew.

These measures include:
  • Enhanced sanitization and disinfection protocols on board the ship
  • Health screening processes with a compulsory pre-boarding health questionnaire
  • Temperature screening at all ports-of-call for all embarking individuals.
  • Equipping front-line crew with protective gear such as facemasks, which were also made available for onboard guests upon requests; hand sanitizers
  • Increasing sanitization and disinfection intervals, especially in high hand touch areas on the ship.

Q: When it comes to the Cruise As You Wish notification window, what exactly is “up to 48 hours before”?
A: Due to immigration requirements, all guests are to furnish minimally 48-hour notice prior to their sailing date.

How to protect yourself from the coronavirus or COVID-19?
With the continual spread of the coronavirus or COVID19, it is better to stay vigilant and follow these simple ways to prevent yourself from getting the disease.
  • Wash your hands with soap or use a hand sanitizer that contains alcohol with at least 70% solution.
  • Sneeze and cough into tissues or the crook of your elbow. If you get mucus or spit on your skin, clean it off right away. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.

  • Regularly and thoroughly clean surfaces, such as countertops and doorknobs, with a disinfectant. 
  • If you are sick:  You should wear a facemask when you are around other people and practice distancing yourself.  
  • For healthy people wear a mask only if you are caring for someone who is sick or a person with suspected COVID-19 infection. Facemasks may be in short supply and they should be saved for the caregivers.
  • If you choose to wear a facemask make sure it is covering your mouth and nose and leave no gaps between your face and the mask.
