Korea Embassy in the Philippines issued new visa processing period effective April 1

Due to the increasing volume of visa applicants, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines issued a notice of change of visa processing period.

Gyeongbok Palace, Seoul

Effective April 1, 2019, the original visa processing period of 3 days for frequent travelers and 5 days for first-time travelers will be increased to 7 working days. In addition, the Embassy will no longer allow pulling out of passports or documents once the application is received, regardless of the reason.

However, there are no changes in the processing period of visa applications other than temporary visitor's visa (C-3), visa issuance number holders, and seafarers scheduled to embark in Korea. For those who need rush processing of visa due to personal reasons, they may avail the existing express visa processing system (2 days processing, express fee $20).

For those who wish to apply for a Korean visa, note that 7 working days starts upon submission of visa application to Korea Embassy and does not include Rasko Travel's processing time.

In line with this, Rakso Travel is aligning its procedure in preparation for the change to secure enough processing time required by the embassy and at the same time meeting the need of its clientele.
