As tourism undeniably contributes to the economy of any country, or locality for that matter, the Seoul Metropolitan Government reached out to select tourism counterparts in 9 Southeast Asian countries.
In the Philippines, Rakso Travel was chosen as its sole counterpart travel agency in the country, bolstering cooperation to improve information sharing towards development of two-way tourism between the Philippines and South Korea.

This milestone project coincides with the grand opening of Seoullo 7017, a historical overpass-turned-tourist attraction and aptly called “garden hanging in the sky” by Arirang News.
*** SEOULLO 7017 ***
The 20th of May 2017 marked the grand
opening of the Seoullo 7017, a 45-year old overpass and the symbol of
industrialization in the 70’s, with then over 10,000 cars traversing it daily.

SEOULLO 7017, an elevated pedestrian walkway, stands for SEOUL, the City that we all know about, while LO is the literal term for road/highway. 7017 are significant numbers where 70 is for 1970, the year the Seoul Station overpass construction was originally completed and for decades connected the eastern and western parts of the city. The number 17 stands for 2017, the year it was re-opened as a brand-new tourist attraction. But 17 also carries other meaning. 17 is its height in meters from the ground, and it also connects to 17 pedestrian roads that lead to many other tour attractions in Seoul as it was designed for people to wander the greater Seoul City.
The place is indeed a new tourist
spot which highlights urban restoration and a new venue for
exhibitions and street performances.
