[PHILIPPINES TRAVEL UPDATE] Bureau of Immigration Republic of the Philippines: Temporary Travel Restrictions for Outbound and Inbound Passenger as of October 26, 2020


Latest update: As of October 26, 2020


Philippines is slowly opening its borders and now, outbound and inbound leisure travels are allowed as long as Filipinos adhere to the required safety measures.


The Bureau of Immigration of the Republic of the Philippines announced last October 26, 2020 which was effective last November 01, 2020. Here are the latest updates on The Temporary Travel Restrictions for Inbound and Outbound Passengers.


In compliance with the directives from Malacañang, as recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), the following shall be allowed to enter the Philippines:


1. Filipinos

2. Foreign spouse and minor children of Filipinos * **

3. Children with special needs (regardless of age) of Filipinos * **

4. Foreign parent of minor Filipinos * **

5. Foreign parent of Filipino children with special needs (regardless of age) * **

6. Accredited foreign government and international organization officials and their dependents. *

7. Foreign airline crew members

8. Foreign seafarers with 9(c) visa *

9. Foreign nationals with the following visas: 

(1) Section 13 series of Commonwealth Act No. 613, as amended
  • 13 Quota, 13(a), 13(b), 13(C), 13(d), 13(e), 13(g) visas
(2) RA 7919 visa
(3) EO 324 visa
(4) Native Born visa
(5) Temporary Resident Visa relative to Section 13 of CA 613, as amended (based on Memorandum Order (MO) No. ADD-01-038/ ADD-02-015)
(6) MCL-07-021 Permanent Resident Visa based on Section 13(a) of CA 613 under MO No. MCL-07-021
(7) EO 226 visa
(8) Special Investor's Resident Visa (SIRV) under EO 226*
(9) 47(a) 2 visa issued by the Department of Justice
(10) Section 9(d) of CA No. 613, as amended

10. Foreign nationals with visas issued by the following economic zones:* 

(11) Aurora Pacific Economic Zone (APECO)
(12) Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA)
(13) Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB)
(14) Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA)
(15) Clark Development Corporation (CDC)

  

* Upon compliance with the 4 IATF conditions

** Not applicable t oSIRV under EO 63


Additional requirements for arriving foreigners:

In compliance with the directives from Malacañang as recommended by the IATF-EID.

(1) Must have a valid and existing visa at the time of entry;

(2) With pre-booked accredited quarantine facility;

(3) With pre-booked COVID-19 testing provider;

(4) Subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers as set by the National Task Force for COVID-19.


Additional requirements for outbound Filipinos (traveling on tourist or short term/ visitor visas) *

In compliance with the directives from Malacañang as recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID)

(1) Confirmed round-trip ticket;

(2) Travel and health insurance to cover travel disruptions and hospitalization in case of COVID-19 infections during their allowable period of stay abroad;

(3) BI Declaration of acknowledging the risks involved in travelling, including risk of delay in their return trip.


* Negative COVID-19 test should be prepared if required by the country of destination

* Upon return, they shall follow the Guidelines of the National Task Force for Returning Overseas Filipinos
