[HONG KONG TRAVEL ADVISORY] Philippine Airlines Resumption of Transfer / Transit Services at Hong Kong International Airport from Mainland China


In reference with ADV20-198 dated AUG 14, 2020, on the resumption of transfer/transit services at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) from Mainland China.

 

Transfer/transit services at HKIA FROM ports in Mainland China resumed since August 15 will continue until further notice. However, transfer/transit services TO destinations in Mainland China will remain unavailable.

 

Please be reminded that the current Requirements of transfer/transit services at HKIA will remain in effect, and they are recapped as follows:

1. Transfer/transit services be allowed for flights operated by different airline groups, on the condition that:

a. passengers are booked under the same air ticket (separate tickets are not allowed)

b. passengers have been checked through with both boarding passes printed and baggage tagged through to final destination;

c. and that the operating airlines will communicate closely and implement all the required pre-flight checking and verification and in-flight safety measures; and

 

2. Layover time within 24 hours;

No-entry restriction for non-Hong Kong residents remains unchanged according to Hong Kong SAR

Government as below:

  • The Hong Kong SAR Government restricts any Hubei residents, and non-Hong Kong residents who have visited the Hubei Province in the past 14 days upon arrival from entering Hong Kong since January 27, 2020.
  • With effect from 0.00am on March 25, 2020 until further notice.
  • All non-Hong Kong residents coming from overseas countries and regions by plane will be denied entry to Hong Kong; and
  • Non-Hong Kong residents coming from the Mainland, Macao and Taiwan will be denied entry to Hong Kong if they have been to any overseas countries and regions in the past 14 days.
