[DUBAI TRAVEL ADVISORY] Tourists Travelling to, from, and through Dubai

Dubai is open to tourists once again. But like any country during the pandemic additional safety measures. Follow the process below to make sure you have everything you need before you travel to, from, or connect through Dubai.

COVID-19 Testing
All passengers traveling to Dubai must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate to be accepted on the flight. The certificate must be for a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab test. Other test certificates including antibody test certificates are not accepted in Dubai.

Dubai Travel Documents
The travel regulations in each destination are changing frequently but here the requirements for those who will travel from the Philippines.
  • Fulfill entry visa requirements to visit the UAE.
  • Tourists may either show their PCR test result (which is valid for 96 hours) upon their arrival to Dubai or carry out a test at the relevant Dubai airport. You may need to take another COVID-19 PCR test on arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result. If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.
  • Tourists are required to register all their details in the COVID-19 DXB app on arrival
  • All travelers to Dubai, including passengers with a connecting flight, must complete this health declaration form and give it to the staff at check-in. This form will also be available at check-in.
  • You will also need to complete the quarantine undertaking form given to you onboard if Dubai is your final destination. Hand this form to the Dubai Health Authority staff on arrival.
  • Ensure you have medical travel insurance covering COVID-19 before traveling, in the event you do not have international coverage.
  • Travelers bear full responsibility and liability for their actions and decision to travel including checking the COVID-19 situation of the country they wish to visit, as well as self-monitoring any symptoms they may experience.

Departing from Dubai
All passengers traveling from Dubai to the UK or Europe (and other mandated destinations) will be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test no more than 96 hours before departure and present the test result certificate at check-in.

Before you travel, please check the requirements of the country you are traveling to. You may need to take a printed COVID-19 PCR test before you depart.

COVID-19 flight and travel restrictions remain in place across many countries around the world. Airlines are closely monitoring the situation as it evolves, hoping to resume services as soon as conditions allow. This includes receiving government approvals, the easing of travel restrictions, and commercial demand.
